  • What about all they missed? Turkey, williams leaving, hams 7 championship, mercedes' 8th in a row, mick giving the helmet, gaslys spa drive, turkey, turkey, turkey, it was that good. Lewis and Russel's change. The extended off season esports, the entire Mugello race! And so much more... I mean, what about Ricciardo hugging cyril about the 2 podiums, or Sainz on the podium too... Both pushing. Or even ric's agreement with cyril to help develop the car for Alonso, fully aware. There was so much content! Yet all we saw was basically austria and silverstone...

I didn't bother watching the last 5 or 10 minutes on Lewis Hamilton. It made no sense. The cop with the knee on the neck and I turned off straight away cause it doesn't have anything to do with F1.

  • The Comeback Kid sucked all the excitement out of the Monza race like a needle piercing a balloon. It made it seem Leclerc crash, Hamilton penalty, Gasly now into lead, but it didn't really stress how mad the race was for there to be an Alpha Tauri in the lead. They need more Crofty commmentating and less of that phoney live commentary guy. Overall though, the entire show is like eating fast food, unhealthy but still satisfying.

  • Episode 9 in Bahrain when Perez's engine blows out exhausting smoke everywhere, you can see a marshal with a fire extinguisher running across the track with an incoming car just 20 meters from hitting him.

    OutremerOutremer27 dagar sedan
    • As an experienced Isle of Man TT marshal, that incident did make me wince. A few years ago, at the TT, a marshal, April Bolster and a competitor, Gus Scott, were both killed when Bolster crossed the track to speak to a rider who had broken down and pulled in on the opposite side and she was struck by Scott's bike traveling at full racing speed. It's been stated that had Bolster survived the accident she would likely have faced prosecution for manslaughter. Following that awful tragedy safety protocols were reviewed and nowadays all marshals are forbidden from walking along or across the track at any time while the roads are closed unless protected by a yellow flag at the preceding flag point. Furthermore, marshals are prohibited from entering onto the track at any time during a live race or practice session, except when unavoidable to deal with an incident. In which case they must be protected by at least one waved yellow flag immediately prior to the incident scene and at least one further stationary yellow flag at the next preceding flag point. It is also drummed into us, in the event of an incident, to stop and count to ten before doing anything at all (except start waving appropriate flags and call in the incident to race control via the TETRA radio emergency button, which should be done immediately) This 10 second delay is supposed to give us time to take in and assess the situation and to check that any further approaching riders are observing the flags and slowing down and there is a safe gap to move onto the course and start dealing with the incident. One would hope that the marshal in Bahrain was spoken to after this incident and banned from further marshaling until they'd completed further training and that the race organizers had a good look at their own training procedures to see if this was just a case of a rogue marshal ignoring clear instructions or that the instructions and training procedures themselves needed to be improved.

  • Favorite moment was the Gasly win, Funniest was when Carlos pulled Lando’s chair from under him and their banter after that, most overdramatized was the “rivalry” between RB and Mercedes. Horner made it seem like they’re so close but in reality it was more Mercedes dominance

  • The problem with the Seinz story was his cousin being prominent in a lot of the episodes. I hope Ferrari make Seinz put a leash and muzzle on that hockey puck. And they leave out Russell? Every time I see his mug I cue ahead, don't even want to see his lips flap, let alone hear any emination from them. Waste of space, IMHO.

  • Steiner... he admitted that he was the one who convinced Haas to join F1. Haas should have taken the idea, left Steiner there and bought Haas or Racing Point or the like instead. To me, every episode painted him a buffoon. His reaction to Gene's phone calls must have done his career wonders. If he can't control his mouth, how can he lead anything. He always has an excuse and/ or scapegoat, never looks inward for causes or solutions. Acts like a Machiavellian headmaster with the termination threats. Can only imagine that team's morale level with him at the helm. Had leaders exactly like him in the Army, made everything a grind instead of a challenge.

The footage of drivers and crew viewing the crash from the pit lane like it was in real time and not a replay was also bad. Most cringe by far was the last 10 min with Lewis Hamilton doing the racism plug. It just seemed so contrived and like it was something they had to put in, like an advertisement. • I completly agree with you. I love carols and danny but their episodes where so streched and a bit boring becauce they both are super nice and honest guys and also very talented so you never had any fear for them losing, so there was no real drama. Also so of the races felt really janky for me. Idk what its was but it was cut like a bad action film and you couldnt focus on anything, while in other episodes the cars and the races and the action looked so good. So maybe a bit more consitensy would be nice
